In Dining Out, Travel/Arizona

Perched on a small hill in the heart of the Valley sits a palatial home rich in history and beauty, offering the absolute best views in town – The Wrigley Mansion.

Long renowned as one of Arizona’s premier spots for weddings and events, The Wrigley Mansion also houses an award winning steakhouse, a quaint wine bar, and a legendary Sunday brunch.

Now thru mid-October, Executive Chef Christopher Gross is firing up the smokers, transforming the Wrigley Mansion’s signature brunch into a BBQ brunch with smoked meats, sauces and all the fixings; plus an endless array of traditional options like an omelette bar, pastries, waffles, eggs, bacon, an epic dessert table – and more!

I love a good brunch and this was one of the best I have been too. I loved the variety and uniqueness of the offering. I made my own surf and turf plate with the expertly smoked brisket, luscious lobster claws and succulent shrimp cocktail. It was divine and went well with the endless champagne and mimosas!

The cost of Wrigley’s Mansion BBQ brunch is $45 per person and includes sparkling wine, mimosas, domestic beers and select wines by the glass. I highly recommend Wrigley Mansion’s new cocktails – Cava Popsicles (available for an additional cost), a house-made frozen fresh fruit pop is served in a glass with various liqueurs and topped with cava. The popsicle melts into the drink, sweetening up the dry sparkling wine and giving flavor to the cocktail. Each drink is different than the last as the popsicle continues to melt and mix into the drink. This cocktail is beautiful, whimsical, delicious and available in four flavors, including Sangria, Peach, Mixed Berry, and Strawberry. I tried the Mixed Berry and Peach and both were equally delicious and delightfully potent!

The brunch is all you care to eat but I highly recommend saving plenty of room for dessert. There is much on the sweets table and I can guarantee making a choice will be tough, so save room and choose a few. There are cupcakes, cheesecakes, chocolate tortes, petit fours, carrot cake, fruit tarts, red velvet cake and more…and let’s not forget that pastry table piled high with danish and other baked goods. Heaven!

If possible I suggest a walk through the house. The mansion was built in 1932 and most of the original charm has been preserved. It’s all so beautiful!

The BBQ Brunch at the Wrigley Mansion is bountiful, and delicious and the unparalleled views and storied setting makes it perfect for a special occasion!

Grab your favorite brunch babes and buddies and plan your visit now. Take advantage of the more casual atmosphere the BBQ brunch offers and make your reservations before this seasonal brunch ends in Mid-October.

The Wrigley Mansion is located at 2501 East Telawa Trail, Phoenix, AZ , 85016.
