Last month my husband and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary with an overnight stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and dinner at La Hacienda by Richard Sandoval. To say it was a memorable 24 hours wouldn’t do our experience justice. From the stunning view of our room to the epic meal we had, everything was perfect. It was an overnight jaunt fit for royalty.

Upon our arrival I gave the valet my name and he said they were expecting us and wished us a “Happy Anniversary.” I thought that was a nice touch to make our stay a little more special. Once we arrived in our room we discovered a tray of mini sweet treats and warm anniversary wishes. Special touches like that are really what make The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess stand out.

As can be expected our room was gorgeously appointed and our view was incredible. Fairmont properties never disappoint in luxury, style and comfort.

Although we were not staying in the Fairmont Gold rooms we were invited to enjoy the Fairmont Gold Lounge amenities. The lounge is exclusive to Fairmont Gold guests and offers daily breakfast from 6:30-10:30am, beverages all day long (including an honor bar), hot appetizers from 4:30-6pm and a dessert bar at 7pm. And because this is the Princess you can expect the food to be delicious and plentiful. You can expect more than donuts and coffee for breakfast, we enjoyed breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, fresh fruit, bacon and sausage. You can pretty much make a meal out of the afternoon appetizers; on the day we visited we had tempura shrimp, teriyaki chicken skewers, steak and mushroom skewers, charcuterie, hummus and veggies….and the beverage bar is stocked with every soft drink you can think of, iced tea and iced cold water.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the food and drink in the lounge or the helpful concierge will pack it up for you to take back to your room. The Fairmont Gold concierge team is dedicated to Gold Guests and they can assist you with anything and everything, from dinner reservations, excursions, to simplifying the check in and check out process.

Fairmont Gold Guests stay in upgraded rooms close to the lounge and have their own dedicated Gold staff.

I would highly recommend going Gold next time you stay at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess or any Fairmont property.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is truly one of my favorite places in Arizona, from the impeccable dining to the first-class accommodations and unparalleled service, every experience I have had there is truly remarkable and memorable. It was a pleasure to spend such a special occasion at The Princess.
