If you follow me on any of my social media accounts than you’ve already heard me raving about Modern Round. And for good reason, it is seriously one of the coolest places to eat, drink, play and be seen in the Valley.
Modern Round is a swanky, virtual shooting lounge serving up great food, innovative cocktails and loads of fun. The upscale, yet casual vibe makes it the perfect spot for a unique date night, fun GNO, manly meet-up or even team building with co-workers. Everyone will have a blast (literally)! Guests take aim using replica firearms that cannot be converted to use live ammo. Private lounges, complete with plush couches, accommodate up to six people and allow guests to relax and unwind. Safety comes first and all patrons in the lounges must watch a brief video before they get started. Attendants and staff are always nearby to take orders, refill cartridges or answer questions. Shooting lounges are reserved by the hour and include dozens of games, guests can upgrade to live-action scenarios for an additional charge. Prices for shooting lounges vary upon time and day.
And the fun isn’t limited to nightlife. Modern Round offers a great Mon-Fri lunch special $8 for your choice of entree from a special “Lunch & Shoot” menu plus $10 off your shooting lounge for a future visit. That is a bangin’ deal! Lunch is served from 10am-3pm.
Have a bad day at work? Then head to Modern Round for happy hour and blow off some steam with $2 off all draught beers, $3 off specialty cocktails, half off Trinity Oaks wine by the glass and great food specials. Happy hour is Mon-Fri from 3-6pm.

Take your birthday shots at Modern Round and get a free ice cream sundae that comes in a keepsake, branded mug and spoon. That’s how I first discovered this place, treating my husband to something new to celebrate his birthday. We didn’t really know what to expect but we were absolutely blown away with the entertainment concept, excellent food and all around explosive energy of the place. It’s our new favorite date night destination.
The food at Modern Round is pretty exceptional. Not at all what you would expect from an entertainment venue. Like everything about the place, you can expect high-quality, crowd pleasing menu items. Like these meatballs, served with buttery crisp crostini. The meatballs were most and tender and that sauce was vibrant and fresh and full of rich tomato taste.
The Three Little Pigs Flatbread pictured above is a meat-eaters delight, served on a think crust and loaded with bacon and pepperoni.
Two fun cocktails, The 36-Hour Margarita made with Bacardi infused fruit, Patron Silver and Orange Curacao was a strong and delicious rendition of the classic tequila drink. And to the right is the Malibu Mermaid, a fun and spicy take on a Pina Colada, this was a killer cocktail and the chili salt rim gave the tropical sweetness a fiery kick.
Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls and a fantastic charcuterie board hit the mark in satisfying finger foods! To the right are BACON WRAPPED OREOS with cream cheese frosting for dipping. I will say it again – BACON WRAPPED OREOS! That’s all you need to know about those!
