Oh, you know. Just another day with Jax, sitting on the searing hot concrete with a whisk. It’s what we do.
Until the peace was lost when this girl (^^ her ^^) let out a squeal and ran to the curb…whisk still in hand. What was it that had her all giddy…up?
Well it was a horse, of course, of course.
I just happen to be a little bit (a ton) terrified of horses! There is video of me riding a horse on a jungle tour where I am wailing in fear and howling my displeasure for the beast.
Me + Horse = BAD NEWS.
But not this girl. She held tight to her whisk and looked at that horse with admiration and curiosity. Her bravery in the presence of this animal helped to quell my panic. I felt a little sheepish that my toddler wasn’t the least bit frightened as her daddy chatted up the rider and dared to inch closer and closer.
What a show-off.
It must have been the whisk. Next time a horse is nearby I am going to grab a whisk of my own. Then I can face my fears.
Only I will have my pants on.
