CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF PHOENIX CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR WITH 10 YEARS OF MAGICAL MOMENTS GALA
Saturday, March 10, 2018 | 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix, in conjunction with the 2018 Children’s Museum Gala Co-Chairs, Cathy Brown and Rebecca Light, announced today details of its biggest fundraiser of the year: 10 Years of Magical Moments. Set for Saturday, March 10, 2018, this special event filled with magic and wonder takes place at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix — the perfect setting for a night of playful fun!
The 2018 Gala kicks off the Museum’s 10th Birthday Celebration, marking 10 years of bringing joyful learning to children and their families throughout the Valley.
A cocktail party begins the celebration at 6pm with magical entertainment and an array of delicious hors-d’oeuvres prepared by some of the Valley’s hottest restaurants. A silent auction includes the chance to have your child grace the cover of Raising Arizona Kids Magazine, Private Cooking Classes, a Year of Date Nights, a Tucson Getaway and an Arts & Culture Tour, among many others. Dinner will be served under the stars, exquisitely catered by The Herb Box Catering. Following dinner, guests will be caught up in the excitement of interactive magic and the live auction which will include tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway, a trip to Bali, a sleepover at the Museum, and a Northern Arizona Getaway. The evening will again be emceed by the amazing auctioneer Bobby D. Ehlert of Call To Auction.
100 Magic Wands will be up for sale at the event for $100 each. The Magic Wand Raffle winner will have the power to make one of the live auction items disappear! (meaning, they will have the opportunity to claim any one of the live auction packages before they go up for bid).
During dinner, the Museum will celebrate the annual Kids at Heart Award recipients. The awards honor an individual and corporation or foundation for their ongoing commitment to strengthening children’s learning through play, helping to make additional and better play possible for Arizona’s children, and making outstanding contributions of time and /or investment to enrich the lives of children. The 2018 Kids at Heart Award recipients will be announced at a future date.
The evening culminates in after-dinner dancing, drinks and desserts.
Proceeds from this event directly benefit the Museum’s Every Child Program which provides free or reduced rate Museum access to families battling financial, emotional or circumstantial challenges. Over 50,000 people visit the Museum annually through the Every Child Program.
