In Family Time, Travel/Arizona

Hands down one of the most beautiful spots in all of Arizona has got to be the Omni Resort & Spa at Montelucia. The resort is stunning with Camelback Mountain setting the stage for some pretty majestic views.

All summer long, through September 30, 2018 The Omni Montelucia is offering a fee-free summer with rates starting as low as $135! That means the resort is waving all fees, including parking fees (covered self-parking) and nightly resort fees. Resort fees can add up, so this is a great opportunity to take advantage of one of Arizona’s most luxurious properties at a great, up-front rate!

Add a few relaxing spa treatments and a unique dining experience and your Omni Montelucia stay will be nothing short of epic. Check out Summer of Spa deals here and Summer Dine Around opportunities here.

I recently had the pleasure of an Omni Montelucia staycation and after a short 24 stay my family left relaxed, happy and counting the days until we return.

Although I have visited the grounds and restaurant several times before, I had never stayed at the resort so I was in for a real treat!

First of all, I had always thought of the property as a more intimate, boutique-style hotel. The vibe I had always got was low-key, upscale and intimate. I was actually pretty amazed at how vast the grounds are and I find it a pretty incredible feat that the property is so large yet still able to maintain an intimate feel.

And so family-friendly too! My almost six-year old felt right at home in the posh environment and begged us to extend our one night to 10! The restaurants all have kid’s menus, and although the resort is a luxury property, it’s still relaxed and comfortable enough to make families feel right at home.

We arrived before check-in, planning to leave our bags at the bell desk and maximize our time at the pool. The valets and bellmen were very accommodating and helpful and we knew we were in for a stay that exceeded all expectations. We were pleased to find out that our room was already available and we were whisked away on a golf cart to our home for the night. The bellhop was so friendly and knowledgeable, turning our ride into a guided tour of the property.

Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed plush and welcoming, and the bathroom was HUGE with the shower of my dreams. I seriously had the best shower of my life! And the bathtub — it was big and deep and when Jax wasn’t in the pool she was having a swim in that tub.

We spent the next few hours at the Kasbah pool. Relaxing in a misted cabana (starting at $99 and full of perks and amenities), and sipping on frozen beverages. The pool felt cool on that 110 degree day and the pool staff made sure we were comfortable and hydrated. The pool is large but not overwhelmingly so and the waterfalls make a fun water feature for the kids to splash around in. The jacuzzi at the Kasbah pool is built above the main pool offering a bit more seclusion for warm relaxation. If staying without kids, adults can take advantage of the adults-only Oasis Pool.

After dinner at Prado (read all about that on tomorrow’s post), we collapsed into the plush bed for relaxing night’s sleep, only to hit the pool again the following day.

We enjoyed lunch in our swim suits on the patio of Taqueria Centro. I loved the chips and dip trio with fresh guac, zesty salsa and creamy quest. The chips were perfectly crisped and addictive. The coconut-crusted shrimp tacos were on point too! Centro is the perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner on the property.

We requested a late check-out, which the front desk happily granted and enjoyed the pool a little longer before heading back to our room to pack up. I, of course, had to have one last shower, because that shower was amazing! Then we reluctantly checked out, all three of us sad to leave, but full of excited chatter about what a great time we had and already planning our return.

As a blogger, I have the opportunity to check out some of Arizona’s best resorts and the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia is now tops on the list. If you’re looking for a stay that offers a bit more relaxed intimacy but still  family-friendly, Omni Montelucia is it. Throw in those views, impeccable service, comfortable rooms and a great pool and you have the mix for magical memories.

And now is the time to book your stay! Take advantage of that fabulous fee-free summer deal!

The Omni Resort and Spa at Montelucia is located at 4949 E. Lincoln Dr. Scottsdale, AZ 85253
