I am having minor surgery today to remove a small, yet very bothersome, cyst that has taken up residency on my neck. I had hoped my doctor could remove the nasty bugger in her office with a bit of lidocaine. Nope. The cyst is in a precarious spot (close to my artery) so my doctor took no chances and referred me to a general surgeon.
The surgeon also has decided to err on the side of caution and is removing the cyst in the safety of a hospital.
Such a pain. The cyst is not all that big and all the fuss seems absurd. I would just say forget the whole ordeal but the bump has proven persistent and has grown at a rapid rate. It must go and so to the hospital I go tomorrow. I know I’ll be fine, I just hate all the added stress this minor surgery has brought to my life. And all the rules…no aspirin for a week, no lotion or cream day of surgery, no nail polish on fingers or toes, not eating or drinking past midnight the night before – argh!
In more upbeat news, my sweet Jacquelyn is on a cover photo contest hosted by Parents Magazine…along with about 10k other kids. It would be fantastic if you could take a moment and vote for her, it’s a popularity contest you see.
See my little girl’s popularity rise would make me so happy and that happiness would in turn help speed up my recovery from surgery. You can help with that. Pretty please. With sugar and hot fudge (I’d really love some hot fudge right now but seeing as how it’s past midnight I can’t eat, you know, with the surgery and all).
Click here for the link to her photo. You can vote once a day. You can vote more than once a day from different devices.
So please help me heal super fast and vote for Jax (aka Pretty Eyes).
Wish us luck!
Thank you! xoxoxox
