I recently had the opportunity to read and review Close To The Broken Hearted, by Micael Hiebert as part of Spa Week Daily’s Book Club.
The novel was fabulous, I read it in less than a week; no easy feat when there’s a toddler in the house. But I couldn’t put it down and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning soaking in the rich setting of the deep south and the vivid imagery and moods woven throughout. The read is loaded with suspense, drama, mystery and even a little humor. I was intrigued from start to finish.
I’m definitely going to check out more Michael Hiebert books. I am really drawn to his writing style, story-telling abilities and themes.
Close to the Broken Hearted will be available for purchase on Amazon on June 24, 2014. I highly recommend adding it to your summer reading list. You will not be disappointed.
