One of Jaxie’s friends recently turned one and his mama, Maureen, threw him the sweetest doggy themed bash to mark this momentous occasion.
Maureen saved money by making the food herself and finding bargains by shopping for supplies at the dollar store, Amazon and the Oriental Trading Company. She kept the menu simple and stuck to the theme by serving hot dogs (of course), and puppy chow. Her attention to detail was carried throughout the party and made for a dog-gone good time!
Take a look…
You’re invited. Maureen made these adorable invitations herself using scrapbook supplies. What a good mama!
How much is that doggy in the window…or basket? Little party-goers got to choose a stuffed puppy of their own to take home. Stuffed puppies purchased at Dollar Tree.
Dog treats. The extraordinary hostess baked and frosted these precious cookies herself. Cookies cutters found here.
Every dog has has his…cake. Maureen made these delightful cupcakes and topped them off with bone-shaped sprinkles from Wilton, found here. Oh, and see that awesome hydrant cupcake tower? It was fabulous and showcased those puppy cuppies perfectly. You can find the tower here.
Lickety-split. These puppy pops (suckers) made an adorable addition to the tablescape and served double duty as take-home party favors. Find them here.
A smashing good time. The birthday boy getting ready to make a wish and dig in to his first birthday cake!
Dog tired. Miss Jax party-pooped from the festivities but still clutching her doggy bag of goodies!
