This Watermelon Cherry Sorbet is one of Jax’s all-time favorite snacks/treats. She beams with joy and hums a happy tune as she eats it so I know she loves it. When I originally thought up this flavors for this I had envisioned it as a slushy treat to be enjoyed with a straw but I froze my fruit solid so sorbet it was! To make it more of a slushy rather than a sorbet simply add more water, or some lemon lime or club soda  to the blender.

After I made the Watermelon Pizza I cut up a portion of the remaining watermelon into large chunks and packed it into quart size freezer bags for future treats and snacks like this sorbet. And I LOVE cherries so I make the most out of the season and pit and freeze the fruit to be enjoyed as long as possible.

Isn’t the color of this absolutely gorgeous? And it tastes just as good as it looks, the sweet watermelon and tart cherries pair well together and the addition of lime juice give it a refreshingly bright pop.

You and your kids are gonna love this. Enjoy.
