Guilty pleasures? I have way too many to count…but on the top of that (very long) list is Reese’s Peanut Putter Cups. Love them — probably a little too much. They taunt me at the checkout counter when I go grocery shopping and all too often I give in….and don’t even get me started how happy I was last Halloween as I sifted  through my daughter’s trick-or-treat-stash, hunting for the orange wrapped chocolate, peanutbuttery treats of my dreams!

YUM! I am seriously salivating as I type this. TMI? Maybe, but I adore Reese’s.

You have no idea the euphoria I felt when I found out I was selected by Influenster to receive the Reese’s Spreads VoxBox. Eating a jar of sinful delight for review purposes cancels out gluttony, right?

Let me tell you, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in spreadable form is every bit as delightful and delicious as the real deal. Better even, because the possibilities with this stuff are endless. You can spread it on waffles or pancakes, you can make a sandwich with it, you can use it as a dip for pretzels or even carrot sticks. I did all of that and didn’t regret a single bite!

But the snack I came up with using Reese’s Spreads is insanely good. 12-grain toast smeared with Reese’s Spread, topped with paper thin slices of Granny Smith apple and finished with a very light sprinkle of sea salt. An absolute revelation.

You get the chewy, crunch or the toast, then the peanutty chocolatey sweetness, followed by  the fresh, tart crispness of the apple. Do NOT forget that sea salt, it enhances the yumminess and takes the snack to mind-blowing levels.

Reese’s Spread could turn a piece of cardboard into a tasty treat, but forget that idea and try that toast! WOW – you will not be disappointed. Actually, you might seek me out to personally thank me…or even propose! Sorry, folks, I’m taken.

And speaking of that husband of mine — he may, or may not have finished off the jar before I was able to get photos, leaving me to make a mad dash to replenish for this review. And it may or may not be true that we are already on our third jar. It’s addictive stuff  and when paired with healthy stuff like apples, bananas and whole grain toast it minimizes some of the naughtiness.

You can find Reese’s Spreads at most major grocery stores.

Go. Get. Some. Now.
