Happiness & Heartache

I found these pictures recently in my email. I smiled through my tears as I looked at them. I literally felt elated while at the same time heartbroken. Time goes by too quickly.

Two years of infertility ended with this beautiful bundle as my prize for enduring that painful longing. Two years have since passed and I am now graced with a spirited toddler.

I don’t want to blink. I don’t want to go to sleep.

I just want to savor the happiness and heartache of being this girl’s mama.
