For years, Babbo Italian Eatery has been one of my family’s favorite places for a delicious, relaxed dinner. I’ve been to a few locations and they all have the same comfortable, friendly vibe, making them the perfect neighborhood eatery the whole family will enjoy.
I am obsessed with the Firecracker Rolls, an appetizer hard to share because they are so good I always want them all for myself. Think along the lines of an Italian egg roll, filled with your choice of Italian meats, Buffalo chicken, and/or steak and jalapeño served with a spicy Marinara sauce for dipping and side of Mista greens. You can mix and match the flavors and all three choices are delicious but I favor the Buffalo chicken!
Clearly Babbo has a way with Buffalo Chicken because my go-to order on the menu is the Great White Buffalo Chicken Pasta. It is a heavy, decadent dish and utterly delicious! Linguine pasta is tossed in a rich, creamy Gorgonzola sauce and broccoli and topped with spicy Buffalo chicken tenders sprinkled with bleu cheese crumbles. The portion is huge and if you can refrain from gobbling up the entire dish you will easily have enough for a second or even a third meal later.
My husband swears by the Italian Sausage Pasta, generous with spicy sausage, mushrooms and peppers. It smells and looks amazing.
Jax always asks to go to Babbo. She loves the complimentary bread and almost always orders the buttered noodles with parmesan cheese, but occasionally she shakes things up and orders a pizza. When she is quiet during a meal we know she’s enjoying what she is eating and she hardly peeps when we are at Babbo, she savors her food in silence and it’s a win for all of us!
Everything is always so delicious, made with quality fresh ingredients. It’s hard for us to not stuff ourselves and clean our plates. But we always save room because the Original Big Baked Babbo is a MUST! It’s a large, soft-baked chocolate chip cookie, served piping hot from the oven with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. If a pizza cookie dessert is on the menu I will definitely oder it; and the one Babbo is serving up is well worth the extra indulgence! It’s also available with a double chocolate chunk cookie or a white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie.
